About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to join our small friendly team. The successful candidate will provide a pro-active, professional, effective and value-added HR service to the managers and staff of the Institute and be the first point of contact for all operational matters within the generalist HR role.

You will cover the full employee life cycle to include recruitment, learning and development, performance management, policy development, employee relations and reward. We’re looking for someone to provide HR Generalist advice, guidance and support to a defined client group of programmes, department and project teams. You will also be expected to take the lead role on HR projects as required. It is also expected that you will understand the aims of a strategic HR function and support senior managers in introducing and implementing best practice policies and practices for the Institute.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • completed, or be studying towards, a CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • have a thorough knowledge of HR best practice, and current employment law.
  • proven experience in a generalist role working at HR Officer/Advisor level
  • experience of successfully managing projects from inception through to implementation.
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • proficient in IT
  • work on your own initiative, you will also be a motivated and enthusiastic team
